Welcome to the Team, Dmitry!
We love to kick off the new month with great news from last month— our engineering team keeps growing! We have recently had a pleasure to welcome Dmitry Paremski to our team building Keep.
Dmitry has broad experience crafting software for multiple projects mainly in the e-commerce industry. He has a background working for small startups as well as large international corporations as a
full-stack software engineer. He is coming with well-honed skills in computer science and is a graduate of the Wroclaw University of Technology. He holds a degree in Control Engineering and Informatics.
Keep Random Beacon
Our Engineering Lead has written an article entitled “Why is Trusted Randomness so Important?” about the issues of accessing true randomness on public blockchains. Trusted randomness is a core foundation of decentralization. Without it, you need the involvement of a centralized player, oracle or other external entity, limiting the trust
Just like the Keep network, many decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) also require trusted randomness. The core to the success of DAOs lies in trustless group selection, allowing them to govern without the vulnerabilities of a centralized power role. Trusted randomness makes it possible for networks to remain independent and for their users to remain autonomous.
He expanded on the reasoning behind focusing on building Keep Random Beacon, and why it has to be the first component of Keep privacy Protocol to be deployed to the Ethereum mainnet in 2019. You can read the article here.
As we get closer to launching the Beacon, we will be publishing more posts about how it works and why it matters. Meanwhile, have a look at our random beacon alpha API demo and Keep’s random beacon in action posts, as well as at our approach on the road to mainnet.
Announcing Keep’s Visual Refresh
Have you noticed the fresh look of our web presence? Our Head of Design , who I held an interview with last month, has transformed our visual brand and we are excited to share the results! Since the Keep Network was first announced, the project and its team have progressed significantly, and so should its visual identity.
Different elements and colors have been introduced, presenting a new look and feel for the project, creating a sturdy base for our ongoing and future work with different elements of our privacy protocol.
