Amanda Cassatt to Judge Playing for Keeps Latest Round for 2 Million KEEP

No contribution is too small as we aim to end the year on a high

Amanda Cassatt is taking the helm as the judge for our latest round of Playing for Keeps with up to 2 million KEEP ready to be doled out as we hope for as many contributors as possible to end the year with a bang.

“I am so excited by the vitality of this community and can’t wait to see how they approach a mission this month focused on education and awareness,” said Amanda, the former CMO of ConsenSys. “Large or small, all contributions that are aligned with the goals of the project are encouraged. Efforts to educate people about the decentralized approach to a Bitcoin-Ethereum bridge, increase visibility, and help the ecosystem grow are highly valued.”

Amanda offers the following suggestions for the types of contributions she is hoping to see:

Education — tBTC is the only decentralized solution for a bridge between Bitcoin and Ethereum, thanks to Keep, which allows it to be decentralized. Amplify or join relevant conversations on Twitter, Discord, Telegram, in live meetups, or elsewhere, to ensure that tBTC’s merits are accurately understood. Whether it’s clearing up misinformation, introducing people for the first time to tBTC and Keep, or anything in between, please only do so in contexts where it’s useful, relevant, and welcome. To earn rewards, show that you made a positive impact by helping spread knowledge about tBTC and Keep’s benefits.

Community Growth — Please encourage relevant friends to join us in Discord and contribute to the tBTC and Keep projects. Rewards can be earned for introducing new members to the communities that are active and ready to start building or otherwise be supportive of the mission.

Translation — Work with new community manager Will Rhodes on Discord (willthesis#9524) to coordinate translations of the tBTC and Keep websites or other materials into new languages, or add value to the Global language channels in our Discord server. It makes a big difference to make these projects understood more widely!

The most significant rewards will be offered to members of the community that can demonstrate that they made the biggest positive impact for the Keep and tBTC projects in terms of education, community building, and availability in different languages.

Playing for Keeps Gets Matching

Last month’s winners were selected by Arjun Balaji, an investment partner at Paradigm. Arjun rewarded the community with up to 2 million KEEP distributed.

For distributing the rest of the rewards, Arjun liked the idea of a “barbell” strategy from traditional investing where you invest heavily in short-term returns, and in long-shot returns, with very little in the middle. With that in mind and recognizing that Playing for Keeps is for the good of the network — for developing new stakers and bootstrapping the community — the following three award tiers were created.

Anyone who puts their entire winnings in Uniswap as an Liquidity Provider, and holds them there for 1 month, will be granted an additional 1k KEEP.

People simply have to prove their LP position in the KEEP/ETH or KEEP/TBTC pairs, entered at spot price at the time, between December 18th and December 31st, and they are eligible for the matching. This is also extended to all winners back in September, too.
