How to Participate in the Keep Community Grants and Fellowship Program
We are excited to be launching the Keep Community Grants and Fellowship Program, which will award KEEP tokens to community members who make meaningful contributions to the ecosystem. The overarching goal of the program is to accelerate the adoption of the Keep network and tBTC by empowering our community to help build the Keep ecosystem with direct funding and additional development resources.
The program will take place in multiple “waves” phased over time. The first wave is live, with a total of 2M KEEP to be awarded. Below is information on the specific categories of contributions we are looking for, and how to participate in the program.
The Dev Grant program
The Dev Grant program is intentionally open-ended, allowing for creative community application submissions. However, in general we are looking for applications that fall into the following three categories:
- Keep Ecosystem Development grants go toward projects and groups that help develop the overall Keep ecosystem including Keep partnerships, tBTC integrations, ecosystem tools such as ATK, and projects that directly support tBTC’s multichain future
- Keep Core Development grants are awarded to projects and individuals that are helping to directly build the Keep core protocol through contributions such as new features
- Keep Dapp Development grants are targeted at new Dapps, as well as existing ones that transfer private data on public blockchains using Keep as a foundational building block
Applications for the Dev Grant program should focus on the impact their work will have in accelerating adoption of Keep and tBTC. The total funding reward for each Developer Grant will be determined on a case-by-case basis. For larger developer grants, preliminary or intermediate milestones may need to be agreed before the grant is distributed.
Keep Fellowships
In addition to Dev Grants, we will also be awarding a number of Keep Fellowships to outstanding community members with sustainable plans for contributing to and helping build the Keep community. Past contributions to our community will be taken into consideration when awarding fellowships. Each Fellowship is for 50,000 KEEP and will take the form of a 12-month community success grant.

In the future, certain components of the application and funding process for the Keep Core Development Grants may be handed over to Keep as part of our growing community governance system.
The launch of Grants and Fellowships reflects the importance of the Keep community and the value and trust we place in it.
